In the past years, the food collected for Randolph Area Christian Assistance Program, has gone a long way to meeting the needs of the children of these communities. During the summer many children do not receive free breakfast and lunch at school, so this is a particularly busy time for our pantry. We look forward to having another successful drive on May 10th, the Saturday before Mother’s day.
You will be receiving a reminder card in the mail, suggesting you put your bag of canned goods near your mail box or cluster box so that the letter carriers can pick it up. When they have delivered the mail to all the homes on their route, they will deliver the food to RACAP. At that time, volunteers will unload the food from the mail trucks while the carriers will be provided a well earned lunch and soda as a way to show them our appreciation for their efforts.
If you should forget or miss the May 10th food drive but want to donate, please bring your gift to the pantry at 307 Pfeil, Schertz, Texas between 1-3 M-F.
Without your response to this Annual food drive, we will have to purchase food to meet the needs during the summer months. We will meet the needs of every client in need of assistance.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the National Letter Carriers of our Community and to the Post Masters who support their cause. Special thanks to the community for their gifts to our pantry.
